The trek leads from the lower areas with forest up along the river beds to Phoksumdo from their over Numa-La Pass (5115m) and Baga-La Pass (5100m) , two challenging passes from where you get excellent views of the Dhaulagiri range, Nilgiri, KyangyuRipa, Annapurna range and uncountable other mountains. The remote and rugged protected area is both scenically and culturally attractive. Various rare and endangered plants grow in the area, many of which can be seen nowhere else in the country. The wildlife is fabulous. Endangered animal species like snow leopards, grey wolves and blue sheep can be observed in the national park.
